Class Descriptions
Please register at least three days in advance for all classes. 541-267-2241 or 1-800-ELE-HOSP
Bring your machine, cords, books and accessories to class. Call for supply lists.
Operational Classes are free with the purchase of new machines or software programs from us. If you did not purchase your machine
from us, it is $25 per class if you have a machine which is similar to those in the class. Unique machines require individual classes.
Individual class are also available at a rate of $50 per 1 1/2 hour class. Please make arrangements with Alice. Project classes are open
to all as long as your machine is capable of doing the project. For some classes loaner machines are available.
Basic Machine Nov 3 1:30-3:00 Bobbin winding, needle and thread selection, basic maintenance, and how to get to those great stitches
will be covered in this class. Call for supply list.
Machine Techniques Nov 6 1:30-3:00 PM Nov 17 1:30-3:00 PM Overcasting seams, blind hems and buttonholes will be covered in this
class. Call for supply list.
Basic Machine & Techniques Nov 24 1:30-3:00 PM This is a combination of the basic machine and machine techniques classes. This
will get you going on your new machine or just offer a quick refresher to get you back to sewing on your machine. Call for supply list.
Advanced Machine Nov 14th 9:00-10:30 AM Let’s review a few basic sewing techniques and then push our machines to new levels.
New techniques are being developed all the time to make our sewing easier. Call for supply list.
Basic Serger Nov 5 1:30-3:00 PM Get your machine out of the closet, thread it and learn what a basic four thread stitch looks like. Basic
serging techniques will even be practiced. Call for supply list.
4D Embroidery Nov 6 9:00-10:30 AM " Encore and endless embroidery" are two of the great functions of 4D Embroidery. Learn
design placement by using the functions of endless embroidery. Call for supply list.
Embellishment Club Nov 18 1:30-3:00 PM
Bring new life to a tired sweatshirt or jacket. Stitch on a few silk flowers or leaves and swirl around them with decorative threads. Don’t
tell anyone else how quick and easy these are. $7.50 Call for supply list.

Embroidery Club Embroidery on towels. If you can do one large towel, you will have no problems with hand towels and washcloths.

Kid’s Sew School’s Closed today, so come play with a sewing machine. This will be a mystery gift project just right for Holiday Season.

Quilting 101 Quilted pot holders. “Straight line” machine quilting. Nov 20th 1:30-3:00 PM $7.50 Call for supply list.
Foot of the Month Gathering Feet Some of the machines come with a gathering foot and they are available for almost all machines.

Baby Wraps By Karla Alexander's book on Quick, Cuddly Quilts These pattern are great for beginner quilters and those just learning to
sew. These would also be great teen quilts or as a lap quilt.
Skinny Quilts and Tablerunners edited by Eleanor Levie This book contains a collection of table runners by different designers. Try new
techniques without the time and monetary investments of a large quilt.
Prewound "L" class bobbins. These clear bobbins come wound with a variety of colors. The thread is a high strength polyester. Great
for sewing and in some of the quilting machines.
